A portion of the rural building Cascina Ferretti in the hills of Tortona was completely renovated in order to create an independent family home.The layout of the existing 2nd floor was adapted to become the living area and the apartment was extended through the transformation of the unused attic level to create space for the bedroom. Structural work on both levels and new roof windows were necessary alongside a complete upgrade of all the systems.

The original terracotta tiles and the wooden floor existing staircase were recovered in order to be reused to maintain the rustic character of the building.
