The intervention on the garden aimed to optimize the layout in order for it to have a better use for the family. The existing historical layout presented itself on various levels, so one had to go down a flight of steps and then back up to reach the lawn, as if it were created more to be looked at rather than used.

Filling in this void with a floating deck was a simple intervention that created more space for outdoor dining, whilst connecting the lawn directly to the rooms looking upon it.
